Irving Adventist Singles

The Irving church is a healthy mixture of married and singles from an international community of believers. Single people are welcomed to join with us in worshipping God. Singles are actively engaged in Irving in roles of leadership.

If you are single and looking around, please come worship with us on Sabbath and check things out. Plan on staying for our weekly potluck lunch so you can meet others in a very informal setting (as well as get a nutritious meal).

Annually the church holds a special event for singles. The 2001 Singles Sabbath is detailed below. The 2002 Singles Sabbath is scheduled for December 7, 2002. Details will be provided online very soon.

Singles Sabbath December 1, 2001

Saturday December 1, 2001 marked the first annual Singles Sabbath at the Irving Seventh-day Adventist Church, and judging from the attendance, it was a great success. Including our own single members, there were guests from other churches throughout the metroplex.

The Sabbath School program included a special Single's class. This was followed by the worship service where 112 people heard Pastor Roberts present the singles-oriented message Toward The Heights.

A vegetarian fellowship potluck lunch (a weekly event at Irving) followed the worship service.

After lunch there was a Bible trivia game and some brief exercise before beginning A.Y.

The A.Y. panel discussion included a highly-agitated audience and a diversely-opinionated panel. Feelings were running strong as the questions were answered and the audience participated with their views also.

The highlight of the Saturday evening social was the food. Provided by the social committee, the griller hamburgers were great. At this rate all our singles will soon be fat! Just kidding.

Irving has a good population of singles. So if you too are single, we provide a wholesome atmosphere to meet others with the same values to which you hold. Come worship with us.
