I. The Last Supper John 13:3-5,12-17
It is a direct command to wash each other's feet as Jesus did.
A. Obedience brings blessing. John 13:17
B. Being stubborn will block the blessing.
1. We are His children. Romans 8:16.
2. Children should be obedient. 1 Peter 1:13-16.
II. Christ's Commands
Christ gave many commands. We are lonly looking at three commands today.
A. To love one another. John 13:34,35
1. His disciples were bickering - who is chief?
2. They were concerned about themselves. He told them to concern themselves with loving one another.
B. To serve one another. Philippians 2:1-4,5
1. His example. John 13:14-16
2. His love constrains us. 2 Corinthians 5:14
C. To share the gospel with one another. Matthew 28:19,20
1. With family. Acts 1:8 Ye shall be witnesses.
2. With friends.
3. With the world.
