Pastor Roberts presented a special message about love due to Valentine's Day.

We all need love. Studies have proven that for babies, love is just as important as food. God has given us the capacity to love - even our enemies.

There are different kinds of love.

• Love of Country. Since September 11 we have witnessed this.
• Love of friends. 1 Samuel 18:3-4 David and Jonathon. John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this.
• Love of husband and wife. Genesis 29:20 Jacob's love of Rachel was so great that he served 7 years twice. Pastor Roberts recalled his marriage to Bettye Roberts in 1946 and noted that their love continues to grow.

  It is a sad fact that 50% of marriages fail. Yet the love of husband and wife is closest to the type of love Christ has for us. 1 John 4:8 Love is of God because God is love.

  1 Corinthians 13:1-7 This is the Pastor's favorite description of love.

  We live at a time when everything that can be shaken is being shaken. Ephesians 5:28-32 Husbands love your wives even as Christ loves the church..

Pastor Roberts then offered a special prayer for husbands and wives that their love would grow.
