Meet Vennor and Gale Hackshaw. Vennor is originally from the Gem of the Antilles, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Gale is originally from the land of wood and water, Jamaica. In their quest for higher education they both came to Texas and went to Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX. Vennor was baptized in April 1987 and Gale was baptized in March 1998. On completion of their undergraduate degrees they moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area and became members of the Garland SDA church. In July 2000 they exchanged marriage vows in the Irving church. They soon made Irving their home community and subsequently transfered their membership to the Irving SDA church in October 2000. Vennor serves as an Elder and Youth Ministries Leader. Gale serves as a Greeter. Gale is a computer programmer and Vennor is a manufacturing engineer. They are both currently pursuing graduate degrees at the University of Texas Arlington. Vennor and Gale are vibrant young people who love God and enjoy serving others. They enjoy hanging out with each other and love reading, singing and traveling. |

Joan is from Jamaica West Indies, and nature and outdoor activities are her passion. Having recently completed her Master's degree at the University of Dallas, she plans to continue her education. Joan serves as the church Communications Officer, Assistant Pathfinder Leader and Young Adult Sabbath School Teacher. |

Maria Elena is from Guatemala City and came to the Irving church by referral from the Irving Spanish church. Maria Elena gave her personal testimony at church on June 29, 2002. She has one daughter and enjoys cooking and crafts. Maria serves as an Assistant Sabbath School Superintendent. |
