Irving Announces Singles Sabbath IRVING November 24, 2001
The Irving Seventh-day Adventist Church announces the first annual Singles Sabbath to be held December 1, 2001 at the Irving church.
Tameka Knowles, organizer of the event states "We have a large number of singles in our congregation and we are happy to host this event for them and invite the singles from other churches to join us on this special day." Services and activities are planned beginning at 9:30 AM with Sabbath School and continuing throughout the day and into the evening. Pastor Bob Roberts will be the speaker for the morning worship service. "Our church serves a diverse community of believers, and we reach out to all of them," says Roberts. "This day wil be a special dedication to the singles in our congregation." Sabbath lunch will be a fellowship potluck meal - a weekly occurrence at Irving. A light meal will be served in the evening during the social.
