Report of the Planning Committee
July 18, 2001
Following two weeks of prayer and consideration, on June 20, 2001 the church planning committee met and agreed to the following:
- That a church should be established in Las Colinas with the following goals:
- Within one year services should be held.
- Within 2 years church property and a building is to be acquired.
- Within 5 years the church property and building should be paid for.
- In order to achieve the goal of establishing a church, we recommend:
- An evangelistic meeting be held in Las Colinas in 2002. Services should begin in Las Colinas prior to the conclusion of these meetings.
- Personal Ministries activities should be planned to achieve these goals.
- A search committee should be organized to recommend a church location.
- That we should plan for a church school after the Las Colinas church has been established.
- Regarding the parking issue at our current location, rather than constructing a new parking area now, we should request parking privileges from the Crestview Baptist Church. This request has subsequently been made and they readily granted permission to use the lot on Sabbath mornings.
Respectfully submitted,
